Members of the Massachusetts Probation Service's Executive Team met with U.S. Probation Chief Ricardo Carter and his staff recently to discuss U.S. and State Probation programs, initiatives, operations and how both agencies can continue to collaborate in the future.

MPS Exec Team members met with U.S. Probation's staff on Tuesday, October 31st. This meeting-- held in the U.S. Probation Office at the John Joseph Moakley United States Courthouse, located on Fan Pier in Boston--is the second meeting between the two agencies over the past year.

"We hope to meet quarterly. It is important for state and federal probation to work together as US and State Probation share evidence-based practices and in some circumstances, cases. These meetings will help enhance and promote the work of both agencies," said Acting Commissioner of Probation Dianne Fasano.

MPS' Executive Team includes Acting Probation Commissioner Dianne Fasano; Pamerson Ifill, Deputy Commissioner-Pretrial Services; Michael Coelho, Deputy Commissioner-Programs; Yvonne Roland, Deputy Commissioner-Administrative Services; Nina Pomponio, General Counsel; and Brian Mirasolo, Deputy Commissioner-Field Services.
