"The clean-up and upkeep of our city parks demonstrates our investment and commitment to the community," said Lisa Hickey, Assistant Statewide Supervisor of the Trial Court Community Service Program.

Ms. Hickey added, “I am really fortunate to work with such great people and to have the support of our court and probation colleagues. I would also like to recognize my Essex County staff Nicole Dublin, John Langone, Thomas Rosatto, John Silva, Pete Feeley, and John Corrao.”

Participants of the Essex Community Service Program, a division of the Massachusetts Probation Service, have regularly cleaned the city parks, helped set up for special events, and assisted with snow removal, tree plantings, and other landscaping activities such as cutting grass, raking leaves, and clean-up of trash and debris. First Justice Hogan-Howard and Judge Sarah Joss, CPO Penucci as well as Lynn District Court employees and Probation staff have also joined in this effort.

Community Service participants, probationers and justice-involved individuals, engage in local efforts such as park and road maintenance; food pantry and animal shelter assistance as well as help with collecting food and supplies from statewide charity drives and transports them to food pantries.
