Pittsfield — A Pittsfield man was arraigned this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court on several charges.  30 year old ARTHUR MCCOWAN appeared before Judge Daniel Ford. 

MCCOWAN had not guilty pleas entered on his behalf on one (1) count of HOME INVASION and two (2) counts of ASSAULT AND BATTERY BY MEANS OF A DANGEROUS WEAPON.  Judge Ford released him on personal recognizance.       

The charges stem from an incident in North Adams on September 19, 2017 where a 39 year old man was assaulted. 

The investigation was conducted by members of the North Adams Police Department and state police detectives assigned to the District Attorney’s Office.
