Press Release  McFadden arraigned on gun and drug charges

Pittsfield — A Pittsfield man was arraigned this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court on several charges.  38 year old JASON L. MCFADDEN a/k/a JASON L. BLANCHARD and FAT JAY (98 Daniels Avenue) appeared before Judge Daniel Ford. 

MCFADDEN had not guilty plea entered on his behalf on one (1) count of ARMED CAREER FELON, one (1) count of ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF A LARGE CAPACITY WEAPON, four (4) counts of POSSESSION OF A FIREARM DURING THE COMMISSION OF A FELONY, one (1) count of POSSESSION OF A LARGE CAPACITY FIREARM DURING THE COMMISSION OF A FELONY, one (1) count of ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF A LARGE CAPACITY FEEDING DEVICE, three (3) counts of IMPROPER STORAGE OF A FIREARM, RIFLE OR SHOTGUN, one (1) count of IMPROPER STORAGE OF A LARGE CAPACITY FIREARM, four (4) counts of ILLEGAL OWNERSHIP OF A FIREARM, RIFLE OR SHOTGUN and one (1) count of POSSESSION OF COCAINE WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE.  Judge Ford ordered that he be held at the Berkshire County House of Correction without the right to bail.   

The charges stem from the execution of a search warrant at MCFADDEN’S home on September 28, 2018. 

The investigation was conducted by members of the Pittsfield, Dalton and Adams Police Departments, state troopers assigned to the District Attorney’s Office and the Berkshire County Sheriff’s Department, members of the Berkshire Law Enforcement Task Force.
