Press Release  Miner arraigned on sexual assault charges

PITTSFIELDA Savoy man was arraigned this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court on sexual assault charges.  63 year old PETER A. MINER (45 Hawley Road) appeared before Judge John Agostini. 

MINER had not guilty pleas entered on his behalf on two (2) counts of AGGRAVATED INDECENT ASSAULT AND BATTERY ON A CHILD UNDER 14 and one (1) count of ENTICING A CHILD UNDER THE AGE OF 16.  Judge Agostini released him on personal recognizance on the condition MINER have no contact with the victim in this case.      

The incidents are alleged to have occurred in Savoy between January 1, 2013 and December 31, 2016 and involved a girl who is now 14 years of age.       

The investigation was conducted by state police detectives assigned to the District Attorney’s Office.
