PITTSFIELD — A Pittsfield man was arraigned this morning in Berkshire Superior Court on drug charges. 28 year old CORY A. MOODY (57 Bartlett Avenue) appeared before Judge John Agostini.
MOODY had not guilty pleas entered on his behalf on one (1) count of POSSESSION OF COCAINE WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE (2nd offense), one (1) count of MANUFACTURING COCAINE (2nd offense) and one (1) count of CONSPIRACY TO VIOLATE DRUG LAWS, TO WIT: DISTRIBUTION OF COCAINE. Judge Agostini ordered that he be held at the Berkshire County House of Correction on $5,000 bail.
The drug charges stem from an incident in Pittsfield on July 25, 2017. It is also alleged that MOODY conspired with others to sell cocaine between June 10, 2017 and July 25, 2017.
The investigation was conducted by members of the Pittsfield and Dalton Police Departments, the Berkshire County Sheriff’s Office and state troopers assigned to the District Attorney’s Office, members of the Berkshire Law Enforcement Task Force.
