PITTSFIELD — A North Adams man was arraigned this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court on drug and firearm charges. 27 year old ROBERT WAYNE MOORE (21 New Street) appeared before Judge Maureen Hogan.
MOORE had not guilty pleas entered on his behalf on one (1) count of TRAFFICKING IN HEROIN, one (1) count of TRAFFICKING IN COCAINE, two (2) counts of CONSPIRACY TO VIOLATE DRUG LAWS, one (1) count of POSSESSION OF A FIREARM DURING THE COMMISSION OF A FELONY, one (1) count of ILLEGAL OWNERSHIP OF A FIREARM, RIFLE OR SHOTGUN, one (1) count of IMPROPER STORAGE OF A FIREARM, RIFLE OR SHOTGUN, one (1) count of POSSESSION OF AMMUNITION WITHOUT A FIREARM IDENTIFICATION CARD and three (3) counts of RECKLESS ENDANGERMENT OF A CHILD. Judge Hogan released him on $5,000 bail.
The charges stem from an investigation into illegal drug activity in Berkshire County and the execution of a search warrant at MOORE’S home on March 6, 2018.
The investigation was conducted by members of the North Adams and Dalton Police Departments, the Berkshire County Sheriff’s Department and State Troopers assigned to the District Attorney’s Office, members of the Berkshire Law Enforcement Task Force.
