PITTSFIELD — A Pittsfield man was found guilty this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court. The jury deliberated for about an hour and a half before returning its verdict against 48 year old CARLTON W. MOORE III.
MOORE was found guilty on one (1) count of OPERATING WITH A SUSPENDED LICENSE FOR AN OPERATING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OFFENSE. Judge John Agostini released him on $3,000 bail pending sentencing which will occur at 9 a.m. Thursday, July 5th.
The charge stems from a motor vehicle stop in Pittsfield on October 21, 2017.
MOORE was found not guilty on one (1) count of OPERATING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL (5th offense). A charge of POSSESSION OF A CLASS E SUBSTANCE was dismissed at the request of the Commonwealth.
The investigation was conducted by state troopers assigned to the Cheshire barracks.
