The MPS Expungement/Sealing Unit staff said good bye to its summer interns at a pizza celebration today in the Office of the Commissioner of Probation (OCP).

Krista Lee, a Bentley University Junior majoring in Management with a minor in Law, and Fatima Merlos, a University of Massachusetts-Boston senior majoring in Criminal Justice, return to classes this fall.

“Ms. Merlos and Ms. Lee helped resolve numerous identity issues, executed and updated countless records, assisted with the processing of expungement petitions, and were instrumental in helping the Sealings’ Division cut down its backlog by nearly three months as a result of their strong work ethic and by finding new ways to make the process run more efficiently,” said Sean Casey, MPS Statewide CARI Manager.
