Members of Commissioner Pamerson O. Ifill’s Executive Team helped prepare and serve food to approximately 600 shelter guests. This is the second year that the Massachusetts Probation Service has volunteered at the women’s shelter.
Among the Executive Team who participated are Yvonne Roland, Deputy Commissioner-Administrative Services; Brian Mirasolo, acting First Deputy Commissioner; Dr. Carmen Gomez, Deputy Commissioner-Pretrial Services; Michael Coelho, Deputy Commissioner-Programs; Tonie Ryan, Deputy Commissioner- Legal Unit; Kirk Hanson, Legal Chief of Staff; and Vincent Lorenti, Executive Director of the Office of Community Corrections.
The team helped prepare a meal of spaghetti and tomato basil pasta sauce, garden salad, green peas, and garlic bread for 600 guests which they served for lunch restaurant-style and packaged for take-out meals.
Rosie’s Place President and CEO Leemarie Mosca had this to say about MPS:
“Volunteers— like the folks from Massachusetts Probation Service—have been an important part of our community since we opened our doors more than fifty years ago. Today, as we are serving more women in more ways than ever before, we are grateful for their support of the women and work of Rosie’s Place.”
Community engagement continues to be a top priority for the Massachusetts Probation Service. MPS employees are actively planning and hosting a wide range of events designed to develop meaningful connections with clients and their families as well as engage with the larger community.
