News  MPS Team wins Boston Strong Invitational tournament

The Massachusetts Probation Service (MPS) team won the tournament trophy at the 13th Annual Boston Strong Invitational on Saturday at the Reggie Lewis Track & Athletic Center in Boston. MPS has participated every year since the event was introduced and it is the team’s first win. This event is hosted by the Massachusetts State Police.

Team MPS won all three games in the tournament and beat teams representing the Massachusetts State Police, West Bridgewater Police, and PRO EMS.

The team included the following players:

  • Magnolima Nogueira, New Bedford District Court Probation Officer Probation Officer
  • Daniel Offutt, Brockton District Court Probation Officer
  • Malik Charles, Suffolk Superior Court Officer
  • Trai Weaver, Associate Attorney
  • Bernard Davis, BMC-Dorchester Probation Officer

Keison Harry, BMC-Roxbury Assistant Chief Probation Officer and team coach, has organized the MPS team and volunteers for each of the 13 years the tournament has been held. This event brings MPS, first responders, and law enforcement together in honor of those who lost their lives during the Boston Marathon tragedy.

"It's been 13 years and we finally won it (tournament). It feels great! I want to thank the team, volunteers, and the State Police who host it every year," ACPO Harry said.
