Keison Harry, Assistant Chief Probation Officer at the Roxbury Division of the Boston Municipal Court, is gathering a team of volunteers to represent the Massachusetts Trial Court and Massachusetts Probation Service at the 11th Annual Boston Strong Invitational, a special two-day basketball tournament, sporting, and community event to commemorate all lives lost during and as the result of the Boston Marathon tragedy. The event will take place August 10th-11th at the Reggie Lewis Track & Athletic Center, 1350 Tremont Street, in Boston.

Each year for the past 10 years, ACPO Harry has organized a Probation and Massachusetts Trial Court team, to participate in the basketball event. This year, he is inviting his colleagues to attend the event as basketball players, volunteers and/or spectators to cheer on the MPS/Trial Court team. Probation will also set up a table to promote MPS’s work and involvement with the community. Volunteers to oversee the table are also being sought.

The Invitational brings Probation, first responders, law enforcement, youth, and local communities together to commemorate the lives lost during the tragedy. This year’s event features track events and races with Special Olympics athletes.

“It is an event that brings together everyone in the community and I want to extend an invitation to my MPS and TC colleagues to come out and participate in this community engagement event whether they are team members, volunteers, or spectators cheering the team on,” said ACPO Harry.
