PITTSFIELD — A New York City man was arraigned this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court on drug charges. 40 year old JOSHUA MUHAMMAD appeared before Judge John Agostini.
MUHAMMAD had not guilty pleas entered on his behalf on three (3) counts of DISTRIBUTION OF HEROIN, one (1) count of DISTRIBUTION OF COCAINE and two (2) counts of CONSPIRACY TO VIOLATE DRUG LAWS. Judge Agostini ordered that he be held at the Berkshire County House of Correction on $50,000 bail.
It is alleged that MUHAMMAD sold heroin and cocaine between July 13, 2011 and August 3, 2011 and conspired with others to sell the drugs on the same dates.
The investigation was conducted by members of the Pittsfield Police Department.
(Note: MUHAMMAD has been in default for a number of years.)
