Press Release  Murray enters not guilty pleas on drug and firearm violations

PITTSFIELDA Lanesborough man was arraigned this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court on drug and firearm charges.  20 year old TANNER MURRAY (55 Williamstown Road) appeared before Judge Daniel Ford.

MURRAY had not guilty pleas entered on his behalf on one (1) count of TRAFFICKING IN HEROIN, one (1) count of DISTRIBUTION OF HEROIN, one (1) count of CONSPIRACY TO VIOLATE DRUG LAWS, TO WIT: POSSESSION OF HEROIN WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE, one (1) count of POSSESSION OF A FIREARM DURING THE COMMISSION OF A FELONY, one (1) count of ILLEGAL OWNERSHIP OF A FIREARM, RIFLE OR SHOTGUN, one (1) count of IMPROPER STORAGE OF A FIREARM, RIFLE OR SHOTGUN and one (1) count of POSSESSION OF AMMUNITION WITHOUT A FIREARM IDENTIFICATION CARD.  Judge Ford ordered that he be held at the Berkshire County House of Correction without the right to bail.          

The charges stem from an investigation into illegal drug activity in Berkshire County and the execution of a search warrant at MURRAY’S home on February 15, 2018.     

The investigation was conducted by members of the North Adams and Dalton Police Departments, the Berkshire County Sheriff’s Department and State Troopers assigned to the District Attorney’s Office, members of the Berkshire Law Enforcement Task Force.
