PITTSFIELD — A Pittsfield man was arraigned this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court on firearm charges. 29 year old JAMEL L. NICHOLSON (265 Bradford Street) appeared before Judge Mark Mason.
NICHOLSON had not guilty pleas entered on his behalf on one (1) count of ARMED CAREER FELON, one (1) count of ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF A FIREARM, one (10 count of ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF A LOADED FIREARM and one (1) count of POSSESSION OF AMMUNITION WITHOUT A FIREARM IDENTIFICATION CARD. Judge Mason released him on personal recognizance.
The charges stem from a motor vehicle stop in Cheshire on February 28, 2018.
The investigation was conducted by state troopers assigned to the Cheshire barracks.
