Probation staff at Northern Berkshire District Court are hosting the 9th annual winter clothing drive - "Project Warm Winter" - for local veterans. This drive will take place at the court through December 15. Collection bins will be set up throughout the courthouse.

Items such as hats, gloves, socks, hygiene products and non-perishable foods are being sought for donations which will be provided  to the North Adams Veteran's Service office. Probation Office Supervisor Bonnie Fachini has been coordinating this effort for the past nine years. Pittsfield Community Resource Center's Community Service staff will transport the items.

"Our Probation Department is happy to participate in this effort for the 9th year and provide warm winter clothing and other items to our veterans," said Northern Berkshire Chief Probation Officer Donald Wright. "Bonnie does an amazing job organizing this effort each year."
