PITTSFIELD — A Pittsfield man was pleaded guilty this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court. 42 year old JOHN J. PIERCE appeared before Judge John Agostini
PIERCE pleaded guilty to one (1) count of ASSAULT BY MEANS OF A DANGEROUS WEAPON. Judge Agostini ordered that he serve a 122 day sentence at the Berkshire County House of Correction. PIERCE was given credit of 122 days, the amount of time he spent in jail while waiting for his case to be resolved.
The charge stems from an incident in Pittsfield on July 20, 2017 and involved a 41 year old woman.
Two (2) counts of KIDNAPPING and one (1) count of INTIMIDATION OF A WITNESS OR OTHER PERSON were dismissed at the request of the Commonwealth.
The investigation was conducted by members of the Pittsfield Police Department.
