Press Release  Pilot held without bail on murder charge

PITTSFIELD — A Pittsfield woman was arraigned this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court on a murder charge.  45 year old CAREY A. PILOT appeared before Judge John Agostini. 

PILOT entered a not guilty plea on her behalf on one (1) count of FIRST DEGREE MURDER.  Judge Agostini ordered that he be held at the Hampden County House of Correction – Chicopee Woman’s Facility without the right to bail.    

The charge stems from the death of 22 year old Asiyanna Jones, in Pittsfield, on October 2, 2017.

The investigation was conducted by members of the Pittsfield Police Department, with assistance from the Berkshire County Sheriff’s Office, and State Police Detectives assigned to the District Attorney’s Office, members of the Berkshire Law Enforcement Task Force, the Massachusetts State Police Crime Scene Services Section and the Massachusetts State Police Firearms Identification Section.
