Plymouth District Court Probation staff turned out for Pembroke’s Public Safety Day over the weekend where they introduced the work of probation and demonstrated MPS' "tools of the trade."

"The day was an absolute success," said Plymouth District Chief Probation Officer Janice Boyle.

The Public Safety Day was hosted by the Pembroke Fire and Police Departments at the Pembroke Community Center on Sunday, October 6th. Plymouth District staff participants included Assistant Chief Probation Officer Jim Polin, Probation Case Specialist Courtney Mackey, Probation Officer Travis Dustin, Associate Probation Officer Courtney Durant.

The probation staff educated the public on the services provided by probation and displayed a variety of literature as well as GPS equipment, breathalyzers and SCRAM devices. In addition, children were given the opportunity to don bullet proof vests and were gifted candy and water bottles.
