News  Pretrial Services Division is certified to enroll clients in MassHealth

MPS and MassHealth partnered to bridge the health coverage gap for individuals with mental health and substance abuse disorders and are on pre-trial or returning from prison or an institution. The Pretrial staff who are now certified include operations coordinators: Jameson Dorrine, Donna Wilson, Shawnta Reid, and Daniel Klein, Edward Colon as well as administrator Natalie Lorenti. The Pretrial employees may now add the title Certified Application Counselors.

“An overarching goal of the MPS is also its commitment to ensuring that all justice-involved individuals have access to adequate healthcare resources and supports in order to better facilitate and promote healthy living outcomes,” said Deputy Commissioner of Pretrial Services Pamerson Ifill.

The Pretrial Operations Coordinators cover five regions, 1-5. Ms. Wilson oversees Region 1 which includes Chicopee, Eastern Hampshire, Greenfield, Holyoke, Northampton, Northern Berkshire, Orange, Palmer, Pittsfield, Southern Berkshire, Springfield, and Westfield. Region 2 is managed by Mr. Klein and includes: Clinton, Dudley, East Brookfield, Fitchburg, Framingham/Natick, Gardner/Winchendon, Leominster, Marlborough, Milford, Uxbridge, Westborough, and Worcester. Mr. Colon, a newly-appointed operations coordinator, oversees Region 3: Ayer, Cambridge, Concord, Gloucester, Haverhill, Lawrence, Lowell, Lynn, Malden, Newburyport/Ipswich, Newton, Peabody, Salem, Somerville, Waltham and Woburn. Mr. Dorrine manages Region 4 which includes: Attleboro, Barnstable, Brockton, Edgartown/Natucket, Fall River, Falmouth, Hingham, New Bedford, Orleans, Plymouth, Taunton, Wareham, and Wrentham. Ms. Reid oversees Region 5: BMC-Central, Brighton, Brookline, Charlestown, Chelsea, Dedham, Dorchester, East Boston, Quincy, Roxbury, South Boston, Stoughton, and West Roxbury. Mahlet Kebede, administrative secretary, is a member of the Pretrial team.
