PITTSFIELD — A Pittsfield man was arraigned this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court on several charges. 28 year old RONALD P. SANFORD III appeared before Judge Daniel Ford.

SANFORD had not guilty pleas entered on his behalf on one (1) count of HOME INVASION and two (2) counts of ASSAULT AND BATTERY BY MEANS OF A DANGEROUS WEAPON. Judge Ford ordered that he be held at the Berkshire County House of Correction on $40,000 bail.

The charges stem from an incident in North Adams on September 19, 2017 where a 39 year old man was assaulted.

The investigation was conducted by members of the North Adams Police Department and state police detectives assigned to the District Attorney’s Office.
