Salem, Massachusetts — A 39-year old Saugus mother, whose trial for allegedly raping a 15-year old boy was scheduled to begin on Monday, June 15th, was arraigned on additional charges alleging that she raped a 14-year old boy in February of 2014.

Heather Salines was arraigned today in Salem Superior Court for Aggravated Rape of a Child, Indecent Assault & Battery on a Person 14 or Over, Child Enticement, and Dissemination of Obscene Matter to a Child.  An Essex County Grand Jury indicted her on those charges yesterday.

On April 1, 2014 Salines was arraigned for 6 counts of Aggravated Rape of Child, Child Enticement and Dissemination of Obscene Matter to a Child and released on $7500 cash bail.  In that case, it is alleged that she raped a 15-year old boy on two separate occasions, once in her car in Saugus and a second time in the Doubletree Hotel in Middleton.  It is further alleged that she sent the boy explicit photographs of herself.

Essex Assistant District Attorney Kate MacDougall, who did not request additional bail, told the court that in recent weeks, another incident involving another victim who was 14 years old at the time came to light.  In this case, Salines is alleged to have raped the boy in her Saugus home.  She allegedly sent explicit photographs of herself to that child as well.

A final pre-trail hearing is scheduled for July 28, 2015.  The cases will be tried together beginning on August 17, 2015.

Salines, who is represented by Attorney Will Korman, is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
