Press Release  Serrano charged in connection with m/v accident that claimed the life of a Cheshire man

PITTSFIELD — A Springfield man was arraigned this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court on several charges.  24 year old ANTHONY SERRANO (163 El Paso Street) appeared before Judge John Agostini. 

SERRANO had not guilty pleas entered on his behalf on one (1) count of MOTOR VEHICLE HOMICIDE WHILE UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF DRUGS AND OPERATING NEGLIGENTLY and one (1) count of OPERATING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF DRUGS CAUSING SERIOUS PERSONAL INJURY AND OPERATING NEGLIGENTLY.  Judge Agostini released him on personal recognizance. 

It is alleged that SERRANO was the operator of a motor vehicle which struck another vehicle in Windsor on April 24, 2017.  31 year old Daron Reynolds, of Cheshire, was killed in the crash, a 28 year old woman suffered serious injuries as a result of the accident.      

The investigation was conducted by state troopers assigned to the Cheshire barracks.
