Supreme Judicial Court Justice Serge Georges Jr. and Probation Commissioner Pamerson Ifill will serve as the plenary speakers at the February 14th conference hosted by the Boston Chapter of the National Association of Blacks in Criminal Justice (N.A.B.C.J) at the Edward Kennedy Institute, 210 Morrissey Boulevard, in Boston. The theme is "Pride, Purpose, and Power."
This one-day event, which kicks off at 8 am, will include a wide range of workshops that cover such topics as leadership and management; health and wellness; workplace trauma; cultural competency; and diversity, equity, and inclusion.
The event will also feature a DJ, Community Lunch Social, and networking opportunities. The event is "not race-specific and is open to those who work with or interface with diverse communities or communities of color," according to Jude David, the Boston Chapter President who is organizing the conference. Mr. David is a Program Manager in the Massachusetts Probation Service's Training Division. The conference is open to Trial Court personnel.
