BostonToday, the Office of State Auditor Suzanne M. Bump released an audit of Cape Cod Community College (CCCC). The audit examined CCCC’s information system (IS) controls to determine whether an organization-wide information security program had been developed and implemented and whether security practices had been established to prevent, detect, and/or mitigate cybersecurity risks.

The audit was not released to the public due to the sensitivity of the information contained in the report. Consistent with government auditing standards and the Massachusetts public records law, only CCCC will receive a full, unabridged copy of the report.

CCCC is a member of the Massachusetts public higher education system, which consists of 15 community colleges, nine state universities, and five University of Massachusetts campuses. The main CCCC campus is in West Barnstable.

The publicly released version of the audit is available here.
