BostonThe Office of the State Auditor today released the following statement:

“The Office of the State Auditor has terminated three data analytics personnel, which includes two contractors and one full time employee, following the office's discovery of an undisclosed potential conflict of interest on their parts. The office has referred the matter to the State Ethics Commission for its review. Additionally, the office has engaged a national accounting firm to review recent work of the three to ensure its compliance with government auditing standards.

The results of the review will be made public upon completion. Since the matter has been referred to the State Ethics Commission, no further details will be made available.”
