Steve Abrams, a 23-year Army and Navy veteran, has turned his personal struggles after service into a mission to support fellow veterans. Now serving as the Veterans Affairs Chair in Brockton, Abrams leads Vet-to-Vet Boston’s Life After Service, a weekly support group that helps veterans navigate healthcare, mental health resources, and shared decision-making.

Having faced challenges in accessing care, Abrams is passionate about ensuring that all veterans receive the support they need. His work focuses on breaking down barriers, fostering understanding, and connecting veterans with the right resources.

Through collaboration with researchers and advocacy groups, Abrams is working to improve veteran healthcare and support systems. He remains hopeful that efforts like his will continue to grow, ensuring that all veterans—regardless of background—find the community and care they deserve.
