Boston, MAThe Honorable R. Marc Kantrowitz (ret.), a former longtime Appeals Court Associate Justice, has been appointed to the State Ethics Commission. Commissioner Kantrowitz, who was appointed and sworn into office by Secretary of the Commonwealth William F. Galvin, succeeds the Hon. Regina L. Quinlan (ret.).

Commissioner Kantrowitz served as an Associate Justice of the Massachusetts Appeals Court from 2001 until his retirement in 2015.  Prior to that, he served for six years as an Associate Justice of the Juvenile Court.  Commissioner Kantrowitz is a former Suffolk County assistant district attorney and later managed his own private law practice in Boston for 10 years.
