The Massachusetts Probation Service LGBTQIA+ instructor team recently gathered with Commissioner Pamerson Ifill Ifill to celebrate a significant milestone: the successful rollout of “Serving LGBTQIA+ People in Probation” to more than 2,100 MPS employees statewide.

“This historic achievement reflects the agency’s unwavering commitment to fostering an inclusive, informed, and affirming workplace culture”

In addition to commemorating this accomplishment, the instructors reviewed the current curriculum to ensure it remains relevant and aligned with evolving language and best practices. Slides and materials are being updated for future sessions to reflect current terminology and enhance the learning experience, reinforcing MPS’s commitment to growth, equity, and ongoing education.

The team also began early planning discussions for the 4th Annual MPS Pride event, scheduled for June 12th, and “continuing a meaningful tradition of celebration and education across the agency.”
