The celebrations are held to acknowledge the milestones and achievements of the Support Center participants, according to Vincent Lorenti, Executive Director of the Office of Community Corrections.

Support Center clients enroll in treatment, education, career counseling, and case management support.

“The recognition ceremonies are the reason we work so hard for the people that come to the support center. When people can return to their family and friends with a new sense of purpose in their life, their communities are safer and stronger. Nothing makes that impact clearer than seeing the tears of joy that are shed at these events,” Mr. Lorenti said.

Beginning in March, ceremonies have been held at the following Support Centers:

  • Fitchburg
  • Boston
  • Woburn
  • Brockton
  • Dartmouth
  • Greenfield
  • Quincy
  • Taunton
  • Barnstable
  • Worcester
  • Pittsfield
  • Plymouth
  • Lawrence

Upcoming ceremonies will be held at:

  • Springfield- June 13
  • Lowell- June 26
  • Framingham – June 28
