PITTSFIELD — An Adams man was arraigned this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court on numerous charges. 28 year old JONATHAN S. THERRIEN a/k/a JOHN THERRIEN (70 Melrose Street Extension) appeared before Judge John Agostini.
THERRIEN had not guilty pleas entered on his behalf on two (2) counts of BREAKING AND ENTERING IN THE NIGHTTIME WITH INTENT TO COMMIT A FELONY, three (3) counts of ASSAULT AND BATTERY ON A FAMILY OR HOUSEHOLD MEMBER (subsequent offense), two (2) counts of LARCENY OVER $250, five (5) counts of INTIMIDATION OF A WITNESS OR OTHER PERSON, one (1) count of STRANGULATION OR SUFFOCATION, two (2) counts of KIDNAPPING, one (1) count of BREAKING AND ENTERING IN THE DAYTIME WITH INTENT TO COMMIT A FELONY, PLACING A PERSON IN FEAR, two (2) counts of AGGRAVATED STRANGULATION, one (1) count of AGGRAVATED ASSAULT AND BATTERY WITH A DANGEROUS WEAPON, one (1) count of ASSAULT WITH A DANGEROUS WEAPON, one (1) count of KIDNAPPING, VICTIM UNDER 16, one (1) count of LARCENY OF A MOTOR VEHICLE and two (2) counts of VIOLATION OF A RESTRAINING ORDER. Judge Agostini ordered that he be held at the Berkshire County House of Correction without the right to bail and must abide by the conditions of a restraining order.
The incidents are alleged to have occurred in West Stockbridge, Lee and Pittsfield between August 19, 2017 and September 29, 2017 and involved a 34 year old woman, 6 year old child and 73 year old man.
The investigation was conducted by State Police Detectives assigned to the District Attorney’s Office.
