Press Release  Three facing murder charges in connection with October 2017 shooting

PittsfieldThree Pittsfield people are facing murder charges in connection with the death of a Pittsfield woman in October 2017. 

20 year old JOSIAIAH T. BYNUM, 45 year old CAREY PILOT, and 38 year old GARY LINEN have been indicted by a Berkshire County Grand Jury on one (1) count each of FIRST DEGREE MURDER. The charges stem from the death of 22 year old Asiyanna Jones, in Pittsfield, on October 2, 2017.

BYNUM, PILOT, and LINEN are expected to be arraigned in Berkshire Superior Court in the near future.

The investigation was conducted by members of the Pittsfield Police Department, with assistance from the Berkshire County Sheriff’s Office, and State Police Detectives assigned to the District Attorney’s Office, members of the Berkshire Law Enforcement Task Force, the Massachusetts State Police Crime Scene Services Section and the Massachusetts State Police Firearms Identification Section.
