Press Release  Thurston pleads guilty, sent to jail

PITTSFIELD — An Adams woman pleaded guilty this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court to several charges.  45 year old JENNIFER A. THURSTON appeared before Judge John Agostini. 

THURSTON pleaded guilty to one (1) count of LARCENY, ONGOING AND CONTINUING OFFENSE, OVER $250, twenty nine (29) counts of UTTERING A FALSE CHECK and twenty nine (29) counts of FORGERY OF A CHECK.  Judge Agostini ordered that she serve concurrent 3 to 5 year state prison sentences at the Massachusetts Correctional Institution at Framingham, with a recommendation that it be served at the Western Massachusetts Woman’s Correctional Facility in Chicopee.              

THURSTON, while employed by Jiminy Peak Mountain Resort, took approximately $23,000 between December 15, 2015 and April 1, 2016. 

The investigation was conducted by state police detectives assigned to the District Attorney’s Office.
