Cape and Islands District — Cape & Islands District Attorney Michael O’Keefe announced today that on July 9, 2019  following a two day jury trial, Todd Germaini (d.o.b. 4/21/61) of Hyannis, was found guilty of Larceny by False Pretenses as a Common and Notorious Thief and Receiving Stolen Property, Subsequent Offense.

The Honorable Robert C. Rufo sentenced Germaini to not less than 5 ½ years, not more than 7 years to state prison.

The charges stem from an incident on December 9, 2017, when the defendant sold stolen property from West Marine in Falmouth to Cash Point, a second-hand store also in Falmouth.

The case was investigated by the Falmouth and Barnstable Police Departments.  The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Michael D. Donovan.
