PITTSFIELD — A Pittsfield man pleaded guilty this morning in Berkshire Superior Court to several charges. 41 year old BRUCE LEE TRUDEAU appeared before Judge John Agostini.
TRUDEAU pleaded guilty to one (1) count of BREAKING AND ENTERING A BUILDING IN THE DAYTIME WITH INTENT TO COMMIT A FELONY and one (1) count of ASSAULT AND BATTERY. He admitted breaking into a home in Pittsfield and assaulting a 29 year old female. The incidents occurred on June 26, 2016.
TRUDEAU also pleaded guilty to one (1) count of BREAKING AND ENTERING A BUILDING IN THE DAYTIME WITH INTENT TO COMMIT A FELONY, one (1) count of CONSPIRACY, TO WIT: BREAKING AND ENTERING A BUILDING IN THE DAYTIME WITH INTENT TO COMMIT A FELONY, one (1) count of MISLEADING A POLICE OFFICER OR OTHER PERSON, one (1) count of LARCENY FROM A BUILDING, one (1) count of WANTON DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY and one (1) count of OPERATING A MOTOR VEHICLE WITH SUSPENDED LICENSE in connection with a house break into a home in Hancock on May 9, 2017.
TRUDEAU pleaded guilty to one (1) count of BREAKING AND ENTERING A BUILDING IN THE DAYTIME WITH INTENT TO COMMIT A FELONY and one (1) count of LARCENY FROM A BUILDING in connection with a house break into a home in Pittsfield on October 16, 2017.
Judge Agostini ordered that TRUDEAU serve concurrent 4 to 6 year state prison sentences at the Massachusetts Correctional Institution at Cedar Junction on the charges of BREAKING AND ENTERING A BUILDING IN THE DAYTIME WITH INTENT TO COMMIT A FELONY and CONSPIRACY, TO WIT: BREAKING AND ENTERING A BUILDING IN THE DAYTIME WITH INTENT TO COMMIT A FELONY. He was given concurrent 1 year house of correction sentences on the other charges.
The investigations were conducted by members of the Pittsfield Police Department and state troopers assigned to the Cheshire barracks.
