The VA Boston Healthcare for Homeless Veterans (HCHV) program, in collaboration with the VA Boston Center for Development and Civic Engagement, organized a sock and glove drive throughout February 2025. Donation boxes were placed at the Brockton, Jamaica Plain, and West Roxbury campuses, encouraging veterans, staff, and visitors to contribute essential winter items for veterans experiencing homelessness.
The drive successfully collected over 300 pairs of socks and 125 pairs of winter gloves. The VA Boston HCHV team is now distributing these items to veterans in need, ensuring they have the warmth and protection necessary for the winter months. This initiative reflects the ongoing commitment to supporting veterans and addressing the challenges faced by those experiencing homelessness.
