On June 21, 2025, the Blossom Street Pier in Lynn became the backdrop for a celebration of craftsmanship, community spirit, and heartfelt gratitude to our veterans. The city marked another successful Veterans Boat Launch, unveiling a handcrafted vessel built by Lynn students under the skilled mentorship of Frank Grealish and Ted Dillard of Small Dog Boatworks.

This special boat, now available for veterans to use free of charge, offers more than just access to the waterfront—it provides a space for relaxation, reflection, and connection with nature. Whether for quiet fishing trips or peaceful cruises, it’s a gift from the community to those who have served.

The dedication ceremony drew a remarkable crowd, including city councilors, school committee members, state representatives, the mayor, the district attorney, and many proud Lynn residents. The Lynn JROTC students delivered a moving performance, adding a sense of honor and pride to the morning’s festivities.

The Veterans Boat Launch is a shining example of what happens when young innovation meets community leadership, all in service to those who have given so much. As the boat sets sail, it carries with it the hopes, thanks, and admiration of an entire city.
