Media Contact for Walker pleads guilty to drug charges

PITTSFIELD — A Pittsfield man pleaded guilty this morning in Berkshire Superior Court to drug charges. 44 year old JOSEPH A. WALKER appeared before Judge John Agostini.
WALKER pleaded guilty to one (1) count of POSSESSION OF HEROIN WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE and one (1) count of CONSPIRACY TO VIOLATE DRUG LAWS, TO WIT: DISTRIBUTION OF HEROIN. Judge Agostini handed him a 1 year suspended sentence at the Berkshire County House of Correction and placed WALKER on 1 year probation. During the probationary period, WALKER is to refrain from using illegal drugs and undergo testing.
The charges stem from a motor vehicle stop in Pittsfield on January 21, 2016.
The investigation was conducted by state troopers assigned to the Cheshire barracks.
