Press Release  Winters pleads guilty, sent to jail

PITTSFIELDA Lenox man pleaded guilty this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court to drug charges. 34 year old STEVEN M. WINTERS a/k/a STEPHONE M. WINTERS appeared before Judge John Agostini.

WINTERS pleaded guilty to eight (8) counts of DISTRIBUTION OF HEROIN and two (2) counts of CONSPIRACY TO VIOLATE DRUG LAWS, TO WIT: DISTRIBUTION OF HEROIN. Judge Agostini ordered that he serve concurrent 2 and a half year sentences to the Berkshire County House of Correction.

WINTERS sold heroin and conspired with others to sell heroin in Lenox between November 8, 2016 and March 5, 2017.

The investigation was conducted by members of the Pittsfield and Dalton Police Departments, the Berkshire County Sheriff’s Office and state troopers assigned to the District Attorney’s Office, members of the Berkshire Law Enforcement Task Force.
