Worcester Juvenile Probation Officer Andrew Carelli returned to where it all started, the Learning First Charter School in Worcester, MA, to participate in the school’s recent career fair.

“His passion and enthusiasm bring much to our organization and the youth of his hometown city, Worcester,” said Worcester Juvenile Chief Probation Officer Kimberly Lawrence.

The fair was designed for students in grades 3 through 8, and each class had the chance to visit different tables and ask questions about various careers.

“Students were especially fascinated with trying on the vest and asked thoughtful, insightful questions. Many were also curious about the GPS tracking device and how it worked. I was able to explain what a typical “day in the life of a PO” looks like and share the path that led me to my current role,” said PO Carelli.

“Returning to the school where my educational journey began was a bittersweet and meaningful experience, and it was rewarding to pass along what I have learned along the way,” he said.
