Who we serve

The Boston Retirement System is a governmental defined benefit pension system. We administer retirement benefits to all employees of the City of Boston, as well as its autonomous agencies, including: the Boston Planning & Development Agency; the Boston Housing Authority; the Boston Public Health Commission; and the Boston Water and Sewer Commission.

There is a five-member board which meets monthly:

Appointed Member: Daniel J. Greene, Esq. (Chairperson)
Fifth Member: Thomas V.J. Jackson
