The PCA Workforce Council (PCA Council) serves MassHealth PCA consumers and PCAs through its mission to ensure access to a quality workforce. To meet this mission, the council works with other local and state organizations to provide consumers and PCAs with a range of recruitment, training and labor benefits.
What is a MassHealth PCA?
A PCA assists with activities of daily living. PCAs are recruited and hired by the person receiving PCA services (the PCA consumer-employer).
The MassHealth PCA program helps people with permanent or chronic disabilities keep their independence and manage their own personal care by providing funds for PCA consumer-employers to hire PCAs.
