Data Science, Research, and Epidemiology Division (DSRE)

The Data Science, Research, and Epidemiology Division manages the Public Health Data Warehouse, Health Survey Program, and Institutional Review Board. We:

  • Use large datasets, connect different data sources, and create visual displays to help plan public health actions and address health concerns.
  • Conduct two statewide surveys about health and risk behaviors.
  • Review applications for research involving human subjects and/or confidential Massachusetts Department of Public Health data.
