Special Commission to Study Prescribing Practices for Benzodiazepines and Non-Benzodiazepine Hypnotics

The Special Commission to Study Prescribing Practices for Benzodiazepines and Non-Benzodiazepine Hypnotics was established in 2024 in the enactment of Section 37 of Chapter 285 of An Act Relative to Treatments and Coverage for Substance Use Disorder and Recovery Coach Licensure.

About us

The Commission is comprised of 7 members and is chaired by Dr. Jessica Zeidman, Deputy Commissioner and Chief Medical Officer of the Department of Public Health,acting as the designee of the Commissioner of Public Health, Dr. Robbie Goldstein.
