Hannah Carrillo

Director of External Affairs

Hannah joined the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance as Director of External Affairs in September 2024. Hannah joined DCAMM after working at the City of Somerville for the prior seven years where most recently she served as Legislative Liaison in the Mayor’s Office. Hannah first began working in the Housing Division as Housing Policy Coordinator before moving to the Mayor’s Office.

In her time in the Mayor’s Office, Hannah worked on a wide variety of policies, projects, ordinances and initiatives, in addition to ensuring City Council approval was obtained when needed. Hannah also overhauled the City board, committee and commission appointment
process and led the establishment of the Somerville Community Land Trust while working in the Housing Division. Throughout her time with the City, Hannah worked very closely with the Mayor, City Council and State delegation.

Prior to working for the City, Hannah worked at several nonprofits including Metro Housing Boston and the Centre for Budget and Policy Studies in Bangalore, India. Hannah is originally from New York City, but did both her BA and MA at University of Massachusetts Amherst and holds a Masters in Public Policy.
