Janet Fishstein

Deputy Commissioner, Office of Finance and Administration

Janet Fishstein is currently serving as Deputy Commissioner of Finance & Administration.  She joined the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) in 2020 to serve as the Director of Project Controls and Operations.  Janet has over 25 years of experience in capital construction and facilities management.  Prior to joining DCAMM, Janet was Associate Vice President for Facilities and Construction at Babson College where she successfully managed facilities operations, deferred maintenance, master planning and capital construction.  Janet started her career in public service with the City of Boston Public Facilities Department where she was involved with both capital planning and project management completing a range of capital projects with a focus on school construction and renovations.   

Janet holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Geography from UMass Amherst and a Master's Degree in Public Policy from Harvard University’s Kennedy School.

Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance  

DCAMM is responsible for capital planning, public building construction, facilities management, and real estate services for the Commonwealth.
