Reid Overpass project

MassDOT is replacing the William T. Reid Overpass in Cambridge, MA.

The William T. Reid Overpass carries Memorial Drive over the intersection of the Boston University Bridge and Brookline Street on the southern edge of the Cambridgeport neighborhood. Built in 1940, the overpass has reached the end of its useful lifespan and should be replaced. Replacing the overpass provides MassDOT with a unique opportunity to fundamentally reconfigure the rotary which connects Brookline Street, the Boston University Bridge and Memorial Drive to address aging infrastructure and improve safety and access for all users.
