Road Flaggers and Police Detail

MassDOT guidelines about the use of road flaggers and police details on highway projects.

The Commonwealth has guidelines and promulgation regulations about the use of road flaggers and police details on public works projects. These include projects consistent with a municipal ordinance, by-law, or any applicable provisions of a bargaining agreement under Chapter 150E. The Executive Office of Transportation and Public Works and the Executive Office of Public Safety and Security authorized these acts in Chapter 86 of the Acts of 2008.
