Route 20 over the Connecticut River bridge replacement

The proposed project includes the replacement of the existing bridge on Route 20 over the Connecticut River in Springfield and West Springfield.

The goal of the proposed project is to replace the existing structure constructed in 1924 and rehabilitated in 1985. The new structure prioritizes multi-modal transportation for motorists, pedestrians, and cyclists and incorporates lookout points to appreciate the views and activities along the Connecticut River.
