MassDEP Involvement

Massachusetts provides technical assistance through its Regional Brownfields Coordinators. These staff can help non-profits navigate through the process.

Liability Relief

Massachusetts General Law Chapter 21E (link below) provides liability relief to eligible persons,CDCs, charitable trusts and similar organizations.  In addition, the Office of the Attorney General can enter into a Brownfield Covenant Not To Sue.
